3. Provision of the website and server log files
When you access this website, your browser automatically transmits data to the server of our hosting provider. The following data is temporarily stored in log files: IP address of the requesting device, date and time of access, page or file accessed, amount of data transferred, access status (HTTP status code), the previously visited page (referrer URL), as well as browser type, browser version and operating system.
This processing is necessary to deliver the website, to ensure its stability and security, and to fend off attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in the purposes stated above. The data is not combined with other data sources or analyzed for marketing purposes. The log files are deleted after seven days at the latest, unless a specific security incident requires longer retention for evidentiary purposes.
Our hosting provider is STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. It processes the data exclusively on our behalf and in accordance with our instructions on the basis of a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. The data is processed exclusively in data centers in Germany.
4. SSL/TLS encryption
For security reasons, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by “https://” in the address bar and by the padlock icon in your browser.
5. Cookies, analytics and tracking services
This website does not set any cookies. It does not store any information on your device or access information stored there, except where this is strictly necessary to provide the website (see Section 25 of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG)). We do not use any analytics or tracking services, advertising cookies or social media plugins.
6. Fonts
The fonts used on this website are hosted locally on our server. No connection to third-party servers, such as those of Google, is established when you access the pages.
7. Contacting us by email or phone
If you contact us by email or phone, we process the information you provide (e.g., name, company, contact details, content of your inquiry) in order to handle your inquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR insofar as your inquiry relates to the performance of a contract or the implementation of pre-contractual measures, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in the effective handling of inquiries.
We use Microsoft 365 for email communication (see section 10). We delete the data as soon as it is no longer required for handling your inquiry. Statutory retention periods under Section 257 of the German Commercial Code (HGB) and Section 147 of the German Fiscal Code (AO) (commercial and business letters: six years; accounting vouchers: eight years; books and annual financial statements: ten years) remain unaffected.
8. Job applications
We process applications that you send to us by email at bewerbung@rapid-logistics.com or by mail in order to carry out the application process. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (implementation of pre-contractual measures with a view to establishing an employment relationship). If you voluntarily provide us with special categories of personal data (e.g., information about a severe disability), we process this data on the basis of Art. 9(2)(b) GDPR.
Your application documents are made available only to those persons in our company who are involved in the selection process. Applications received by email are processed via Microsoft 365 (see section 10). If an employment relationship is established, the data will be transferred to your personnel file. Otherwise, we delete the documents no later than six months after notification of the rejection in order to be able to defend against possible claims under the German General Equal Treatment Act (AGG) (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Your data will be stored for longer for future job openings only with your express consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you may withdraw at any time.
Please note that unencrypted emails may be viewed by third parties during transmission. Alternatively, you can also send us your documents by mail.
9. External links and myRapid customer portal
Our website contains links to external services, in particular to the myRapid customer portal at smartinfo.backhaus-co.de, which is operated by our sister company BACKHAUS & CO. GmbH & Co. KG. Merely displaying our website does not transmit any data to these providers. You leave our website only when you click on a link; data processing on the linked page is governed by the privacy policy of the respective provider.
10. Recipients, email service and transfers to third countries
Your data is disclosed to third parties only insofar as this is necessary to fulfill the purposes stated above, there is a legal obligation to do so (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR), or you have given your consent. Recipients may include, in particular, our hosting and IT service provider acting as a processor. No data is transferred to countries outside the European Union or the European Economic Area when you access this website.
For our email communication, including applications sent to us, we use Microsoft 365, provided by Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, D18 P521, Ireland. Microsoft processes the data as a processor on the basis of an agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR and stores it in data centers within the European Union (EU Data Boundary). However, it cannot be ruled out that the parent company, Microsoft Corporation in the USA, or other sub-processors in third countries may gain access to data in individual cases, for example for support or security purposes.
Microsoft Corporation is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; transfers to the USA are therefore based on the European Commission’s adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR). In addition, Microsoft has entered into the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR). Further information can be found in Microsoft’s privacy statement.

- Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Right to withdraw consent with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR); the lawfulness of processing carried out on the basis of consent before its withdrawal remains unaffected
12. Right to object under Art. 21 GDPR
Where we process your data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you have the right to object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then no longer process the data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.
To exercise your rights, an informal message to info@rapid-logistics.com or to our Data Protection Officer is sufficient.
13. Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
Without prejudice to any other remedies, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), in particular in the Member State of your habitual residence, your place of work or the place of the alleged infringement. 14. Obligation to provide data and automated decision-making
You can use this website without providing any personal data; only the technical data listed in section 3 is necessarily processed. To handle inquiries and applications, we need the information you provide to us. No automated decision-making, including profiling, within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR takes place.
